Come and See | Behold, I am John | From Cumorah's Hill |
|
Regimented family... normal and trapped, predictable -- Family dinner - Father give the 'canned' prayer .Husband who doesn't understand... Epiphany... realization given by the shepherd boy... the sense of wonder comes back... Carol of the Bells looking over a first snowscape... A woman, realizes that through the frustrations of the predictableness... it lacks sustenance. We should question so that it brings us to a place where we have a foundation. Are we locked in these roles so that we loose the wonderment? Don't worry that we can be lost in questioning... but regain that sense of wonderment of seeking and searching... Come and See... | ...An Easter program, written as if it were through the eyes of John the Beloved. His thoughts and impressions as he witnessed the last days of the Savior's life, and his subsequent Resurrection. Can we, like John, really understand what our Lord wishes us to know? | This is a program that Steven Kapp Perry and and Brad Wilcox wrote. It is Fantastic. The music and text are beautiful. I adapted it for a full stage production, adding some scriptural text and staging. | . A Roadshow based on 'Persistence' and the campy song, "The Thing" --"As I was walking down the beach one bright and sunny day. . . " It features many popular American Hero's, who then give their advice on how to solve the main character's difficulty. |
Shepherd | |||
"Lorna scurried about like a squirrel readying for winter. There were gifts to be purchased, the tree to cut down and trim, the annual Christmas party to plan and carry out, cards to get in the mail, the choir program to write,. . .
A woman's discovery that 'Perfection' isn't in the details, but in connecting ourselves to the Savior |

S -H -E -P -H -E -R- D S - Seek In our lives... do we not search for something... something intangible, that always seems just beyond our grasp? That ever illusive 'if only'... Perhaps, if we listen, for just a moment, you and I together, can discover where that is to be found... or ... at least attempted to be found. There are three things I wish to address. Leaders, Followers, and Love. |

Wise Men Still Seek Him | Believing Christ | Celebrating the Light
....Written as if by the wife of one of the wise men who came to see Christ, this program speaks of the wisdom in learning that who we are, is really who we serve. | .Many times we claim that we 'BELIEVE IN CHRIST', but as Stephen Robinson points out, do we truly BELIEVE Him? Do we believe that he CAN do what he says he can? - Suitable for Easter or Christmas. | This is a full stage production that I adapted from Michael McLean's songs. Many of his best loved pieces were put into a program for 100 youth. I wrote the Text.

We performed this program
yesterday and it was marvelous and enjoyed by all. The music was wonderful
although I changed two of the selections to avoid having to buy music. After
an emotional performance of God So Loved the World, we sang Where Can I Turn
For Peace in response to the young woman's initial condition. Then we sang
Our Savior's Love as a response to why we are such a happy people. The rest
was as you had written. We tweeked a couple of the songs to be very dramatic
and really pulled it off. The characters were type-cast members of our ward.
A young woman with a beautiful speaking voice and an elderly woman who is
admired as a righteous woman among us acted out the roles you developed. I
had a male member of our choir with one of the most beautiful, moderately
deep, and gentle speaking voices with a microphone (very inconspicuous) read
the parts on "all ye that labor... and the lengthy quote near the end" as
Jesus would have delivered those words. It was a hit! I thank you for
sharing your talent and providing these materials for our use. You made me
look really good!!! I can tell when there isn't a dry eye in the house.
Sincerely,
Mary Ware
