Mother, Virginia Peterson Smith loved to sew and was very good at
it.
She couldn't afford to buy clothes for her family so she learned
to be exceptionally good at designing and sewing
dresses, suits, coats, pants, formals, and shirts for her nine children
and herself.
Mom would go to town and check out the latest styles, buy the material
and
then go home and make stylish clothes for her children and herself.
Thanks to Mom, Carolyn Smith Grover, for the work on this page.
